Introducing SafeArrival – A New Way to Report Student Absences
Beginning on Monday, January 19, our school will be using SafeArrival to report student absences. SafeArrival is designed to make it easier, faster, and more convenient for families to report absences and late arrivals.
With SafeArrival, there’s no need to call the school and leave a message. Instead, you can quickly and securely report your child’s absence in one of three ways:
Using the SM Home App: Download and install the SM Home app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Online: Visit home.schoolmessenger.ca.
Phone: Call the toll-free number 1-844-478-2598 and follow the prompts

Kindergarten 2026/2027 Information
Kindergarten Open House – Coming in March
In March, we'll be hosting a Kindergarten Open House. You and your child will have the opportunity to visit the school, meet the Kindergarten team, and ask any questions you may have. We'll send you more details closer to the date. Open House is scheduled for Tuesday March 24th at 4:30pm.

Important Reminders
Immunizations: All children attending school in Ottawa are required to have their vaccination records submitted to Ottawa Public Health.
Transportation: To determine if your child is eligible for busing, please visit the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority (OSTA) website.
Childcare: Extended Day Programs are available in most of our schools. If you require childcare, register as soon as possible online through the City of Ottawa Child Care Registry and Waitlist.
Medical Needs: If your child has a serious medical condition, please let the school know. This helps us collaborate with your child's healthcare provider to develop a safe and proactive plan of care. The necessary forms are on the Student Health page of our Board website.
