Oct 18th Family Newsletter

Hello,

Our Harvest Dance is coming up next Friday! Here is the information flyer and volunteer sign up . Many thanks to School Council’s leadership and all those who volunteer for this amazing community-building opportunity! I am thrilled that we have this wonderful family event and can’t wait to join in with my family.

Thank you as well to Council for purchasing sand for our very large sandbox.  Between the rain this week, the kinder and primary students have thoroughly enjoyed digging and creating! If anyone has sand toys, dinosaurs, cars, trucks…. they would like to donate, please don’t hesitate to send them to school with your child. We promise to put them to good use!

A reminder to parents to sign up on the Divine Infant Parish website if their children will be experiencing the Sacraments this year! There is a meeting in the Parish Hall tomorrow at 10:00 for First Eucharist participants

Halloween is just around the corner which means we will be having our Halloween Parade around the school on Oct 31st!  This year all students are invited to wear their costumes all day. Please keep in mind that students will be going outside on the yard while they wear them.  Please, no masks or really scary costumes. We would also suggest that costumes props are kept to a minimum to ensure students don’t lose them at school during the day.

Parent/Teacher Interviews will take place on Thursday, November 14th. More details will come closer to this date. There will be a PD Day on Friday, Nov 15th.

CEFO Children’s Theatre Workshop series will take place from Sat Oct 26th - Nov 23rd. The registration deadline is Oct 23 and the application and more information can be accessed at www.cefo.org

We hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Warm regards,

Michelle McGarry and St Francis Staff
