Principal Carole Parent Retiring:

posted Dec 6, 2018, 7:34 AM by Carole Parent

Dear Parents/ Guardians,

Serving as principal of St. Francis of Assisi for the past 5 years has been a privilege and a pleasure.  I have decided to retire from the educational system as of December 31st, 2018.  I will greatly miss the students, the staff, the parents and the community at large. I do hope to keep in touch by serving as a volunteer in the future.

The principal that has been appointed to replace me as of January 1st is Mrs. Michelle McGarry.  She is currently serving as vice-principal of Guardian Angels School in Stittsville and was vice-principal of St. Thomas More School, last year.  Mrs. McGarry will be spending the day with us on Monday, December 10th, where she will meet staff and students.  She will also be attending School Council that same night starting at 7:00 p.m. as a first step in our transition plan.

Thank you for welcoming Mrs. McGarry at St. Francis of Assisi School. She is looking forward to meeting with all of you in the coming months.

Carole Parent

Principal
