Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for your support as we open a new school year.  Thank you also for your warm wishes in welcoming me to St. Francis of Assisi School.  I've enjoyed our first week.  Please take note of the following:

Buses:  We have 4 buses again this school year.  We are dealing with a new bus company so we thank you as we continue to ensure everyone gets home on time and on the right bus.
Punctuality:  Thank you to the walkers and to parents driving their child to school for respecting our parking lot and bus lane signs.  Thank you also for ensuring your child arrives at school between 9:00 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.
Caught You Caring Coupons: Your child can win a coupon for a monthly draw when he/she is caught caring for another child or adult in our school.  Many students won a coupon already this week and are looking forward to the draw.
Play Structure: Everyone is looking forward to our new play structure being installed next Monday and Tuesday in our primary yard.
Night Caretaker:  Welcome back to Roy Belo, night caretaker, who is returning to St. Francis after a leave of absence.
Monique Gagnon:  Our grade 4G teacher, Mme Gagnon, needs to take a leave of absence from school for personal reasons.  She will be away for the next 6 weeks.  Mme Bougie will be replacing her until we are able to select a long term occasional teacher to replace Mme Gagnon.
Tanya Akai:  Our grade 1G teacher, Mrs. Guay, will be working four days a week until Christmas.  We welcome Miss Tanya Akai who will be teaching the grade 1G class every Friday starting September 12th.

Looking forward to meeting all of you at our Curriculum/Meet the Teacher Night, on Thursday, September 18th starting at 6:30 p.m. in our school gymnasium.
