Another exciting event coming our way is a Skating Day at the Ray Friel Arena on Thursday, January 21st for all students attending St. Francis of Assisi School. Half of our student population will skate from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the other half of the student population will skate from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Bussing will be paid through an outdoor activity grant and the location of the rink will be sponsored by the City of Ottawa. Therefore, there will be no charge for this fun activity. Students will need to bring their skates and a helmet in a bag. Please note that the wearing of a helmet (hockey, bike or other) is mandatory. We are currently trying to find second hand skates for the few students that are currently without some. If you have extra pairs at home that you would like to donate, please drop them off at the school in the next week.
Please complete the form below or the hard copy sent home, giving your child permission to participate in the Skating Day activity and return it to the school as soon as possible.
